Christy L. Brown is Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. As CEO since October 2012, Ms. Brown helps over 28,000 girls discover who they are, connect with others, and take action in our community. Prior to this role, she was vice chancellor, finance and administrative affairs at UW-Milwaukee overseeing all non-academic operations for over 3,500 employees and over 26,000 students. Previous positions included executive vice president and general counsel at MATC, and vice president human resources, vice president southeast region and corporate counsel at Lutheran Social Services. Christy began her career as an associate attorney in the labor and employment law practice with Michael Best & Friedrich, where she also served on the hiring committee.
She is currently on the Board of the Northwestern Mutual Series Fund, Inc., a trustee at Carroll University and a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, TEMPO Milwaukee, the International Women’s Forum and the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. Christy earned a Juris Doctor and a Master’s Degree from Duke University, and a B.A. from Stanford University.
