School kicks off September 4

Teachers and principals are ready to welcome every student back to class! Milwaukee Public Schools elementary students will be back in the classroom on Tuesday, September 4. All students on the traditional calendar should get ready for an exciting year of learning! Check with your school so you know your student’s start time and your child can be on time every day.

Families who have not yet registered their children still have time to sign up. Students can be enrolled at any MPS school, online, or at MPS Central Services. Enrollment hours will be extended on Saturday, September 1, with enrollment help available from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Students on the early start calendar, which includes all high schools, traditional middle schools, and connected elementary schools, went back to class on August 13.
