Jessica Quindel attended Milwaukee Spanish Immersion School, Milwaukee School of Languages, and Riverside University High School. She attended the University of California – Berkeley and earned her Bachelor's of Arts in math and Spanish. Ms. Quindel worked for ten years at Berkeley High School in various roles including math teacher, student leadership teacher, Math Department teacher leader, and Teacher on Special Assignment which focused on the use of assessment and data to ensure all students are learning.

After having her first child in 2010, she moved back to Milwaukee and returned to Milwaukee Public Schools. Since 2011, she has held a variety of roles within the MPS administration, including working in Central Office as a School Data Support Specialist and serving as an Assistant Principal and Principal. She is currently the Principal at La Escuela Fratney which holds sentimental value; Jessica's children attended this school and her grandmother attended during the Great Depression.
