Helplines and district updates keep families informed

MPS is continually seeking ways to support our students and families during school closures. Get access to the latest information and assistance through our phone lines, website, schools, app, and other sources.

MPS Central Services  phone lines are open for questions -- call (414) 475-8393. MPS has also created a special hotline -- (414) 475-8900 -- to provide assistance and guidance to families. Both lines are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Families of students receiving Specialized Services Support can access assistance regarding their child's education. Call (414) 438-3648 and leave a message stating the student’s name and birth date along with your name and contact information. You will be contacted within 24 hours of your call.

If your child needs a Chromebook to access online learning, please email your child’s school and you will receive instructions.

The MPS website is home to everything families need to know about the district. In addition, the MPS COVID-19 Updates page carries all recent messages sent to families plus Frequently Asked Questions, locations for meal distribution, access to online learning, cancelled events, and more.

The district is sending updates to families by phone, text message, and email. Information changes quickly, so please be alert for calls and messages from the district and be sure to listen to or read the complete message to avoid missing important details.

To make sure you receive all updates, please be sure your contact information is correct. Log in to the Parent Portal (Infinite Campus) to update your phone number and email address so messages will reach you. MPS is offering support to families who need a Parent Portal account or need to reset a login or password. See below for important details.

All district buildings and offices are closed, but for specific questions about your child or your school, contact your teacher or school leader by email. School staff will forward questions to district offices as needed.

If you have friends or family with students in the district, please share updates and encourage others to update their contact information. We want all families to have access to the latest news.

Parent Portal Technical Support

MPS is offering phone and email support for families who want to create a Parent Portal account and for those who have forgotten their username and/or password.

Live Parent Portal phone and email support will begin Monday, April 13, 2020, from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.

To recover a username/password: Parents and guardians should email parentportal@milwaukee.k12.wi.us. In your email, include the parent/guardian name, child’s name, birthdate, and a contact number to assist you in resetting your Parent Portal account. If you do not receive a phone call or email within 24 hours, please call (414) 475-8159 for further assistance.

For assistance setting up a new Parent Portal account: Parents/guardians may call (414) 475-8159 or email parentportal@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.
