MPS hopes families had a great summer. Principals, teachers, and staff are ready to welcome students back! School Administration Chief Dr. Katrice Cotton is primed for Day #1. “The MPS facilities crew has worked throughout the summer refreshing our classrooms. School leaders just completed three days of brilliant training. We are grateful and ready to start the school year with innovative instruction and inspired learning.”

The Ambitious Instruction model will be used as a catalyst to motivate teaching and learning for the 2022-23 school year. Superintendent Dr. Keith Posley is inspired by the interest and excitement from Milwaukee families. “Let’s put a brighter future in focus on August 15. Behind each of our scholars and future graduates are dedicated loved ones, a strong public school system, and a community that cares.”

Principal Leon Groce at Audubon Middle and High School shared, “This is an important time for students. I’m humbled by their knowledge and curiosity! Starting with great relationships, good attendance and a great attitude, we can raise student achievement.”

MPS students and families should be ready for great learning opportunities in art/music, college/career tracks, special education, Montessori, and more options. Enroll at mpsmke.com/Enroll. Check your school’s website for arrival and dismissal times, as well as school supply lists.
