Pulaski adds IB Diploma Programme and Career Programme

Pulaski BuildingNow in its second year offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme, Casimir Pulaski High School is excited to roll out the IB Diploma Programme and Career Programme this school year. Students are gaining expanded access to classes and areas of study to help them become college and career ready.

The IB Programme focuses on developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who will have the personal and professional skills to succeed in a modern, global society. Pulaski students have access to IB coursework that delivers greater challenges and rigorous learning. IB classes can qualify for college credit and make students more competitive in their college applications and scholarships.

The IB Diploma Programme is made up of six subject groups that incorporate creativity, activity, theory of knowledge, and service. IB learning promotes a depth of thinking that prepares students for college level work and beyond. IB Diploma students report that they feel well prepared for the rigors of college and gain a global outlook and perspective of their place in the world.

Also new this year, the IB Career Programme offers career-related study and provides practical, real-world approaches to learning and helps develop skills and competencies required for lifelong learning. This pathway prepares students for internships, apprenticeships, employment, and further education.

Pulaski is one of eight IB schools within MPS. The IB program is also offered at Academy of Accelerated Learning, Lowell International Elementary School, MacDowell Montessori School, Reagan College Preparatory High School, Rufus King International High School, Rufus King International Middle School, and Wedgewood International Middle School.

Pulaski High School is located at 2500 W. Oklahoma Ave. in Milwaukee. Enrollment for the 2021–22 school year will begin later this fall. Call (414) 902-8900 for questions about IB or the school. Enroll at
